LEADERSHIP ATTALA, sponsored by the Kosciusko Attala Development Corporation, is a program designed to identify and train adults with leadership skills.

This program will permit each participant the opportunity to increase his or her knowledge and understanding of the complex business, political, and social factors that contribute to the well-being of our area.

The participants will work together in a seven-month training course which combines individual study, group sessions, and actual project experience in using leadership skills.

Approximately 15 participants from throughout Attala County will be selected biannually on the basis of leadership potential and their demonstrated interest in the area.

THE PROGRAM
August The program will begin with a two-day retreat aimed at team building and developing an understanding of leadership techniques. The retreat leader will also give special emphasis to developing communication and problem-solving skills. Activities will be oriented toward the existing situations in Kosciusko and Attala County.

September - February Participants will attend a six hour session each month to participate in additional leadership skills training and to continue working on group projects.

March A written report and oral presentation of each project will be presented for evaluation to an out-of-town committee. A recognition dinner with guest speaker will follow.
